How can I benefit from a Personal Chef?

Today we are starting to see a greater need for eating healthier, but due to hectic work schedules, busy life styles and not having the knowledge many people are settling for a quick fix and their health is suffering. At Culinary De-lite our main focus is providing a customized menu that takes your specific needs into account. We do all of the shopping, we prepare the delicious food that you selected in your home, we package it giving you simple reheating instructions, we give you a complete nutritional break down on everything we prepared for you and then we leave your kitchen spotless and your Fridge full.

Can I afford a personal chef?

On average we are about $13 per serving. This is about what you would pay at a restaurant without the cost of gas and tipping. But at Culinary De-lite we are more than food, we are a service that is customized to fit your life, from shopping, we take in account your nutritional needs, we clean, plus on top of that we come to you. As you can see this can easily be worked into any budget.

Do you cook for a restricted diet?

Yes, we have a Registered Dietitian who for a consultation fee will help design your menu. Plus you can take the menu to your Doctor for approval.

What do I need in my kitchen?

We understand that every client’s kitchen is as unique as the client; this is why we come out to your home to do a free no obligation consultation. Your menu will be customized around your kitchen and your needs.

How long will you be in my kitchen?

And do I need to be there?

A cooking session is done in a single day that you choose; we work our time around your schedule. It is best if we can work in a quite uninterrupted environment. We are usually finished in three to five hours, depending on your menu. A lot of our clients leave us access to their home, so they can go about their busy day and then return home to a clean kitchen and a refrigerator full of food.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we are Licensed in Pinellas County and we are insured through the USPCA.

How is food packaged and do I reheat it?

How the food is packaged and reheated is also customized to you. There are several ways to store your food to it make it as fresh as can be from freezer to the table. We can use disposable aluminum, freezer bags or reusable glass Pyrex. These options will also be determined on how you chose to reheat the food, in the oven or microwave, or if you prefer the fresh food in your refrigerator. No matter how we decided to package your food we will include detailed instructions for reheating. All of these decisions are covered in your consultation, so our service is all about you and your needs.

What type of payment do you take?

Culinary De-lite is set up to take PayPal, Google Check Out, Visa, Discover, Master, checks and cash. Because we do all of the grocery shopping for you, all payments are made in advance.

Do I have a say in what you cook?

Your menu is tailored to you and you get final approval of all menus.

Can I buy a gift certificate?

You can contact us and purchase a Gift Certificate for friends or family.

What about wine tastings?

Yes, part of Chef Kellie’s Culinary education included wine pairing. She also worked with London Catering as the bar manager, where part of her job was to order coordinating wines with the menus.
